Barry Smith Senior Pastor

Barry is Impact's founding pastor and has been in full time ministry since 1994. He's an evangelist at heart and loves seeing lives altered for eternity. He and his wife, Tammy, have been married since 1994, have two great kids and live in Elk Grove. Barry hates lima beans and peas but loves 80's dance music! He also enjoys listening to Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Fergie and Tommy James. One of his favorite pastimes is to kick it on the water with friends and a boat. A couple of things you may not know about Barry is that he once won a VW Bug at a Youth Conference and gets, on average, seven hours of sleep a night..

 

Scott Eaton Executive Pastor

Scott moved from Las Vegas when he joined in the Impact team in 2007. He married Lisa in 1990 and they have two children together. He's a Christian music nut with everything from Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman to Kirk Franklin and David Crowder. Although he does from time to time pull out Swing Out Sister. He loves visiting National Parks and also enjoys camping and hiking. Scott has the auspicious recognition of filling a gym with too much smoke during a basketball team introduction which caused many of the players to slip on the slick left by the smoke! Scott dislikes asparagus, loves the movie Apollo 13 and uses a Pentel Rolling Medium Writer pen.

 

 

Mike Vander Dussen Development Pastor

Mike joined the staff here at Impact in October of 2010. He has been married to his wife Amber for 20 years and has two children. He has been in full time ministry for the past 15 years and loves seeing people reach their potential. He loves mint chocolate icecream. Mike loves playing golf to relax, would spend an entire day snow boarding if he could and once lost a cow out of the back of a trailer he was pulling. He also drives a 1998 Dodge 2500 Cummins Diesel.

 

 

Shawn Struckmeier Worship Pastor

Shawn has been around ministry his entire life. He's been in fulltime ministry for the past 12 years and serving at Impact since 2005. Shawn has been married to Darcy since 1994 and have four kids to show for it.. A perfect day for Shawn would be spending it out on the river fishing with his son. Some of his hobbies include reading, graphic design, editing video and letting his kids beat him at Wii HSM 3 Danceoff. He once had a full on mullet but has now adjusted to a more traditional 3 tone! He loves Def Leppard, Linkin Park, Matt Kearney, Mutemath, Kings of Leon, Chris Thile and used to be addicted to REM. He also tells really great duck stories and drives a 2000 Mercedes C230.

 

 

Josh Christian Student Ministries Pastor

Josh has been serving in full-time youth ministry since 1999. He's been married to Ashley since 2001 and has three boys. He loves all kinds of music including bands such as Hillsong United, Family Force 5, Pearl Jam, Muse, Kings of Leon, Jack Johnson and U2 . Josh commutes on a motorcycle, absolutely hates onions and is a certified Scuba Diver. He loves autumn and gets about 8 hours of sleep a night. Josh is also currently pursuing a Masters Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.

 

 

Tammy Smith Children's Director

Tammy has been the Children's Director at Impact since 2000 and has been in volunteer ministry for 15. She is married to Barry and were married in January of 1994. She has two incredible kids and is a big time soccer mom! Her favorite movie of all time is The Notebook and she enjoys listening to any type of Christian music. Tammy talks faster than anyone you will ever meet and can rarely say any type of slang phrase correctly. She decorates her home for every season, uses baskets for everything, and holds the firm belief that every time you go into Target you should come out with a new accessory.

 

 

Lisa Eaton Connections Ministry Director

Lisa has been serving in ministry for many years and has been on staff here at Impact part-time since 2008. She has been married to Scott since 1990 and together they have two children. She loves iced coffee but can't stand the taste of hot coffee. She rolls in a Honda minivan while blasting music of the '70's and '80's! She'll choose a road trip over a flight any day and enjoys scrapbooking, reading and cooking. A perfect day for Lisa would be taking a day trip with her family to explore some place new or to just hang with the family watching movies. Lisa also loves cheap ballpoint pens.

 

Chris Pitts Office Manager

Chris has been in ministry for many years but has served as fulltime staff here at Impat since December of 2004. She has been married to her husband Greg since 1971! In high school she was the head Drum Majorette and had the dangerous job of twirling fire batons!! She loves driving her 2004 energy efficient Prius and realizes there is more to life than fast cars and large, expensive homes. Friends and family rank at the top of her favorites list along with serving on this great team at Impact.

 

 

Lyn Harris Administrative Assistant

Lyn began serving on our staff in January of 2010. She has been in ministry going on 12 years. She has been married to Gary since May of 1979. She is an odd duck of sorts. She's alergic to chocolate but loves caramel, she hates coffee but loves tea and she used to be a vocalist for a local rock band but has 10% hearing loss in each ear. She drives a Toyota 4Runner and loves to watch movies while eating popcorn and Hot Tamales candy. She is passionate about her family, especially her grandkids, and enjoys spending time with them no matter what they are doing.

 

 

Scott Clark Administrative Assistant

Scott has been involved in volunteer ministry for the past 15 years and joined the staff at Impact in 2011. He has been married to Michelle since July of 2005. They do not yet have children but do have a dog named Norman. He drives a white Toyota Corolla and generally tries to steer clear of lizards and bugs. He digs Skillet, David Crowder Band and Owl City. He also earned a 3rd degree black belt in Hapkido. He says he tried throwing a baseball once in Jr. High PE and it did not turn out extremely well.

 

Melanie Fuchs Director of Events & Guest Services

Melanie just recently joined the staff here at Impact in May of 2011. She has been volunteering in ministry for the past 17 years. She has been married to John since 1991 and have 4 beautiful children ranging from a college student to a kindergartener! Brave souls indeed. She drives whatever car is registered and has gas in it. She loves '80's music as well as the Classic Rock of the '70's. She enjoys playing golf as well as scrapbooking.

 

Leslie Morris Administrative Assistant

Leslie recently joined the staff in June of 2011. She has bee involved in ministry on and off over that past 20 years. She is married to Jim and has two children, Ashley and RJ . . . and a Cockatiel Navigator. She climbed Half Dome at the age of 40 and loves all types of creepy, crawly things like snakes and frogs. She evidently does not remember an embarassing moment in her life as she states that she generally blacks out when embarrassed. Some things she does for enjoyment are photography, hiking, reading a good book and getting out with the family.
