HOW TO MAKE A FINANCIAL COMMITMENT:

1. PRAY. Ask the Lord to clearly guide you in determining what engagement means for you and/or your family. Although our available resources are different, everyone can give generously in response to his/her desire to see God’s great work advanced!

2. RECORD. Write the amount you are committing in faith, on a Commitment Card (available from the church office and at the Info Center during weekend worship service). Please indicate how you plan to fulfill your commitment; i.e., weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, and/or one-time. Also, please make note of any non-cash gifts that may be part of your commitment; e.g., real estate, stock, coins, etc.

3. GIVE. Write your first check [or give cash] toward your commitment during the First Fruits Offering. If you are ready to give right now, please visit our Partner With Impact Page to give an offering securely online.

4. RESPOND. By completing your card and presenting it to the Lord, along with your First Fruits Offering during the Commitment Weekend on March 6/7. If you are unable to attend the event, please return the Commitment Card to the church office.

More on Commitment Weekend:

Our journey of faith will kickoff with an incredible time of worship on March 6 and 7! During our weekend worship services on this Commitment Weekend, everyone will present their commitments of faith to the Lord. Please indicate on your Commitment Card what you intend to give over the next three years, over and above regular giving.

FIRST FRUITS OFFERING:

It’s been said that every journey begins with the first step. The First Fruits Offering allows us to start the journey together during the Commitment Weekend by giving our best cash gift toward the commitment we just made. These will be used immediately to secure more space for our children and to expand the foyer, in addition to 10% going directly back into our community.

4 Ways You Can Give (after time in prayer on your spiritual journey):

1. ONE-TIME Cash Gift. Consider selling or liquidating an asset, donating your tax refund, deferring a major purchase, or reducing personal expenses and giving the proceeds in the First Fruits Offering. Involve your entire family in determining an amount to give above your regular giving.

2. 36-Month COMMITMENT. The Bible teaches that spiritual maturity includes developing the habit of regular giving. Giving the first portion of our income indicates that God really has first place in our lives. Then, “there are times for over and above giving” –sacrificial giving for specific purposes. This is one of those times in the life of our church. Your faithfulness throughout this journey will enable God’s purposes to be achieved as the church’s future picture becomes reality! We are on a mission with God!

3. NON-CASH GIFTS. Many people have been blessed with resources like stocks, real estate, businesses, cars, coins, airplanes, jewelry, and more. The church is able to receive non-cash gifts as part of your commitment. This is an excellent way to help further God’s great work!

4. CREATIVE GIVING. You may want to include anticipated tax refunds; take a part-time job; put your talent to work to earn additional income at home; change spending habits to reduce expenses; or defer a purchase to help increase your commitment!
